Riki Christodoulou is looking forward to making his return to Formula Renault UK at Snetterton

Sutton Coldfield racer Riki Christodoulou is to continue his return to the 2010 Michelin Formula Renault UK Championship by contesting the remainder of the season with Fortec Motorsport.

The 22-year-old, who finished fifth in 2008 with his cousin Adam taking the title crown, rejoined the series at North Yorkshire’s Croft circuit in June this year competing with CRS Racing in which he produced two strong results with a best of fourth.

He now joins the rest of the field for rounds 11 and 12 at Norfolk’s Snetterton circuit on 7th/8th August following the summer break. Riki’s move completes Fortec Motorsport’s four-car line-up together with Tom Blomqvist (Saffron Walden), son of rally legend Stig, second-year driver David McDonald (Ewell) and Graduate Cup points leader Alex Lynn (Dunmow).

Commenting on the announcement, Riki said: “I had a good weekend at Croft with CRS Racing and at the time was not planning on competing the rest of the year but Fortec Motorsport were able to put together a good deal for me to finish the rest of the season. I’m really looking forward to being back in the new car, which feels more advanced than the Formula Renault car I drove in 2008, and hopefully I can secure some podiums and even race wins for the team.”

Rounds 11 and 12 of the 2010 Michelin Formula Renault UK Championship take place at Norfolk’s Snetterton circuit on 7th/8th August.
